(1.5 hours) Professionals who work in the school setting are in a unique position to help lessen the effects of trauma students experience. This course series will help teachers and other school based professionals gain a better understanding of child sexual abuse (CSA) and their role in supporting children who have experienced it by incorporating trauma informed practices in the classroom.
(3-4 Hours, 45-60 Minutes per course) The Data Analysis Series consists of four courses designed to show users how to enter, analyze, and report on evaluation data captured from pre/post surveys. These courses contain sample data for practice, and users can pause, review, and revisit any portion of the courses.
(2.5 hours) This course provides an overview of the neurobiological and psychological implications of sexual assault, abuse, and harassment, and the information and skills necessary for victim service providers to provide trauma-informed services.
(20 min) In this course, victim service professionals will review trauma-informed practices for working with children surviving sexual abuse, learn role-specific recommendations for working with these children, and identify new ideas for collaborating with other victim service professionals.
(30 minutes) In this course, victim service professionals will learn how to describe types of sexually abusive behavior, review practical skills for listening to a disclosure of child sexual abuse, and identify the three guiding principles for responding to a disclosure.
